Smash Burger

Smash burgers have the noticeable flavor profile of traditional burgers, but you'll jump for joy over the special sauce and the irresistible double burger patty with cheese melted in between.

What is a Smash Burger?

Smash burgers are made by rolling ground beef into balls and using a burger press to break the balls into a thin patty before placing them on the grill. This increases the amount of taste and browning on the exterior while preserving the sweetness of the patty.

From traditional Juicy Burgers to Cheeseburger Sliders, we adore burgers. The flavor of homemade ground beef patties is far superior to that of the fast restaurant or light patties. Because you have control over the quality of the ingredients, these are easier to swallow and you feel better after eating a freshly cooked burger.

This homemade variation is a must-try if you like Smash Burgers!

Ingredients:

1. Ground Beef  We create 4 double-patty burgers with 1.5 pounds of 80/20 beef, but you can easily double or triple the recipe to feed a large number of people.

2. Sauce  We make the burgers on the grill and assemble them using a simple mayo and yellow mustard mixture. We prefer thick-sliced medium cheese for burgers, but you may also use your preferred sliced cheese or American-style cheese.

3. Buns  Any burger bread will do; golden buns taste wonderful and have that restaurant burger appearance.

4. Lettuce  For a smash burger fit for a restaurant, thinly slice your green lettuce.

5. Pickles  The best are sliced dill pickle chips.

6. Tomatoes  For burgers, choose meaty, big tomatoes and slice them into rings.

7. Red onion  rings cut into tiny slices

Follow These directions:

Step 1: Make patties:

8 equal parts of the 1 1/2 lbs of ground beef (3 oz each), covered and chilled until time to cook.

Step 2: Create sauce:

1/3 cup mayo and 1 teaspoon mustard should be combined, then set aside.

Step 3: Food Add-Ons:

Completely prepare your toppings in advance to assemble the burgers as soon as the patties come off the grill, hot and juicy.

Step 4: Frying pan buns:

In a griddle or skillet over medium heat, toast your buns with a little butter on the cut side until they are golden brown. Toss into a rack.

Step 5: Cook patties:

Heat up to a medium-high setting. Place 2 to 4 cold pieces of meat onto the hot surface, depending on the size of your surface area. Working rapidly, wrap each piece in a parchment paper sheet and pat them into thin patties. With the parchment paper removed, season the food with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Then, add a dab of sauce. Sear the first side for two minutes and the second side for roughly a minute.

Step 6: Put cheese:

After adding a piece of cheese to half of the patties and covering it with a second one, turn off the heat. Topped with toppings, serve warm over toasted buns.
