Restaurant Quality Egg Drop Soup!
Egg drop soup is a favorite of mine. As a result of being able to enjoy egg drop soup at many different Chinese restaurants, I decided to make my own recipe for it at home. The key to making this dish is the use of sesame oil! As much as I enjoy it, I hope you will as well.
Egg Drop soup is a Chinese soup that is made with beaten eggs. These eggs are cooked in a clear broth, which is usually accompanied by other ingredients like green onions, ginger, and in some cases cornstarch to thicken the broth. A simple dish that is light and comforting, this dish is often served as a starter or as a simple lunch or dinner option depending on the mood.

Follow these directions:
In Step 1:
Over medium heat, combine broth, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a small saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat.
In 2 Step:
Stir together the water and cornstarch in a small bowl until the cornstarch is dissolved; then add the cornstarch mixture to the boiling broth. Add the food coloring and combine well. Then slowly pour in the beaten egg, stirring constantly, and season with white pepper and salt at the end. I recommend serving it hot with chives garnished on top.
